Glamping has gained in popularity over the past few years. It’s a way to be close to nature while still experiencing many of the comforts of home. One unique and unforgettable experience you may want to try sometime is yurt glamping in Illinois, and here are a few of the campgrounds in the state where you can do just that.

1. Geneseo Campground, Geneseo

Geneseo Campground is located along the Hennepin Canal. Here you can go canoeing, kayaking, or fishing or use the multi-use path that runs alongside it for walking, running, and cycling.

This campground offers RV and tent sites as well as cabins or yurts. If yurt glamping is something you’ve wanted to try, there is one available for reservations here.

2. Camp Manitowa, Benton

Camp Manitowa at Rend Lake is set on 40 gorgeous acres and is a popular spot for summer camps, retreats, and festivals. It also offers amenities like a commercial kitchen, an outdoor swimming pool, recreation fields, a lodge with a game room, and so much more.

3. Camp Manitowa at Cedar Point, Makanda

This Camp Manitowa property, Cedar Point, is located on 257 acres within the Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge. Here you will find a beach and swim dock at the 1,200-acre Little Grassy Lake.
